An online design workshop for anyone

I call this a workshop but it's really a play-shop! We'll go over the basics of the science of light, principles of design, and how to work with repurposed materials. And then you'll design your own unique tea light lantern! I can tailor this for your group, any age and skill.

I'm Allie, your workshop facilitator. I have designed clothing, therapeutic cushions, gardens, websites, and more in my 10+ years as a multidisciplinary designer. I can't wait to see what you make!

I started Green Lady Green Arts to provide ecological design services, and to share design and making skills in virtual workshops that are fun and educational. I'm based in West Hartford, and offer services throughout Connecticut, and online.

This workshop can be adapted to any grade level to explore science, art, and humanities topics in a hands-on project. The science of light, color theory, geometry, psychology, and career exploration are some applications.

Here's a great way to fight boredom during school vacations or anytime! Families can make lanterns together for education enrichment, holiday decor, or just for fun and curiosity.
