About the event
My best friend, Megan, is an Individualized Yoga Teacher, poet, tarot reader, and a non-toxic homesteader in northern New England.
She will join me online, and teach us how to make easy, healthy sauerkraut from fresh cabbage, using common household supplies and kitchen tools.
The only special equipment needed is a kitchen scale. (Analog or digital is fine, as long as it reads grams.)
Sauerkraut is a nutritious, tangy condiment, commonly found in cuisines from what is now Eastern Europe and Russia. Utilizing fresh cabbage, salt, and naturally occurring microbes, we will transform ribbons of cabbage leaf into zesty, crunchy kraut that supports your healthy gut microbiome and provides a welcome boost of essential vitamins and minerals. Plus a pop of undeniable flavor.
