To me, having fresh flowers every week would be the epitome of luxury and glamour.
What if this luxury was accessible, more affordable than the local flower shop, and came with benefits for pollinators, farmers, and the local economy?
So I asked the CT floral community, which Connecticut farms are offering CSA flower subscriptions?
Here's where to sign up for a summer's worth of CT blooms:
In central CT:
Eddy Farm, Newington
Curlytail Farms, East Hampton
Beets and Blooms Farm, East Hampton
In western CT:
Appleberry Farm, Newtown (and North Stamford)
Anderson Acres Farm, Kent
In eastern CT:
Bouquets and Blueberry Gardens, Windham Center
Toadlily Flower Farm, Brooklyn
Giroux Farm, Vernon
You can also support local Connecticut farms and find CT-grown stems during public hours at Connecticut Flower Collective located in Meriden, and at local farmers' markets throughout the state.
